the host of meat. that's me! I go by any name and any pronouns, call me what you like. I work as a goon for one of the greatest megacorporations in the world, which affords me a modest living and modest equipment. I was raised in the quiet rainforest mountains of north georgia, where my favorite thing was to disappear in the wood. today i spend my time at the thrift store, or else at the book store, or else bedridden. the wood here is scarce and inaccessible. the spirit shrivels. the host of the machine. that's where I connect to the world! I am writing this on a secondhand thinkpad x200t, running archlinux with bspwm. stock and awe. the system is as lightweight as I care to make it, I do just about everything in the terminal, and I wouldn't want it any other way. why do this? especially as a layperson? for one, there's no other way a machine like this could possibly be viable for modern applications. for another, it really is easier, compared to somethng like windows. every single piece and every single tool is there because I put it there, which means that if any single piece needs fixing or needs replacing, I can do it. nothing is unexpected, and nothing is out of my control. everything is exaclty how I want it. placeholder placeholder bla bla bla my battery's almost dead i'll write the rest later byeeeee
